Kit List

Required for all sessions –

  • Mountain bike in good working order
  • Helmet (well fitting and in good condition)
  • Log book (if you have one)
  • Full finger gloves
  • Drinks & snacks
  • Medications

For longer sessions –

  • Waterproof jacket
  • Waterproof shorts (take a pair of cheap waterproof trousers and cut the legs off)
  • Rucksack
  • Spare layer of clothing
  • Change of clothes for after
  • Lunch and extra drinks

Nice to have –

  • Spare parts specific to your bike
  • Protective eyewear
  • Small towel
  • Sun cream
  • Insect repellent

The Scottish weather can be very changeable so riders should be prepared for all conditions.

Ensure you have enough water, food and spare clothing for the entire duration of the ride and that you have room for the items you need in your rucksack. Excess can be stored in the van.
