What’s typically covered on a Go MTB session?

Riding awesome trails and having fun is part of every session and at every level. Click here for our Go MTB Guide. From 2020 we will be using our own custom version of Go MTB to better fit the type of riding that kids do.

There are age restrictions to our sessions but, more importantly, parents should consider carefully their child’s existing skills and their ability to participate in a challenging mountain bike session. As a very rough guide, Go MTB Levels 1 & 2 suit ages 6-10 and Levels 3 and above from age 11. Remember that age does not equal ability and that everyone learns at different speeds. Participants looking to join at levels 2 or above will need to demonstrate all skills from previous levels. Normally this will only take a few minutes. If you’re in any doubt, get in touch or read our Go MTB Info page.

Every participant will receive a log book on their first session to track their progress through the award levels. Please remember to bring this on all future sessions. Replacement log books are £1 each.

All sessions are run by our friendly and experienced leader who is first aid trained, a PVG scheme member and holds top qualifications as well as comprehensive insurance.
